a LION musing
This movie was exactly what I wanted it to be, and I'm totally fine with that. Very solidly acted, shot well, good story with a triumphant ending. It didn't do anything groundbreaking nor horrendously, but it did what it needed to do, and that was to tell an emotional story about home and family. You know the end, but the journey was so riveting. The little boy actor is probably my favorite thing about this movie; he is just so natural and didn't feel like he was being directed, he just was. I'm very satisfied with LION. 7/10.
